The literal meaning of "fais gaffe(fay gaaf)" is to make a mistake or to make something blunder as it is composed of verb "faire"(to do) and noun "gaffe"(blunder). However this gives something exceptional defination in French. This particular expression is used to say someone to "BE CAREFUL" or to "WATCH OUT". eg> Fais gaffe monsieur, vous allez tomber.(fay gaaf mosyu,vous zale tombee) (Be careful Mr., you are going to fall.)
