Both the verbs "demander(damanday)" and "poser(pozay)" belongs to the first group of the verb conjugation and both of them signifies the same sort of meaning, i.e. to ask. However there is a small difference for them to use in the sentence. Though both of them signifies the meaning to ask, the demander is used to ask for the something and the verb poser is used to ask some question. Hence we do use demander pour quelque chose(damanday pukh kelkaa swos) signifies to ask for something and we do use poser une question(pozay une queschiyon) signifies to ask a question. Here we cannot interchange these word though both them stands for the meaning "to ask".
